"Joy is more joyful, given a tune."*
Studio Productions...
(Partial update: May 1, 2007)
There is always some new project that will have to be added, old ones retired, etc.
For now, though, here is what we've chosen to include...
A recent Miss America contestant, Betsy Uschkrat, needed a performance track done (in contest lenghth) of the Die Fledermaus aria, "Mein Herr Marquis" also known as "The Laughing Aria". Since it was a performance track, there is no vocal...the entire track was recreated from a score using the East West Symphonic Orchestra Gold virtual instrument.
Mein Herr Marquis
Vocalist extraordinaire Danette McMahon came by with a song to submit to American Idol entitled "Closer To My Dream". Here's an edited excerpt...
Closer To My Dream
After Tropical Storm Allison ravaged Houston a few years ago, a United Way telethon was held at Minute Maid Park to raise money for the countless victims of the flood.
The producers of the show, Ward and Ames Special Events, needed a track done of the famous Carmen Dragon arrangement of "America The Beautiful". This was to be sung with a live 300 voice choir, which meant that they could not use the existing choral recording and there were some timing issues in regards to live television and a co-ordinated fireworks display.
Here is the original recording and our fully sequenced version in Real Audio format.

Ricky Diaz and his wife, Belen, decided in late October, 2001 to record 10 songs as a Christmas gift to
their families...We did it in stages, with the rhythm section first, then the horns and percussionists and, of course, vocals.
Here are two Real Audio examples of their work...
Our Love Is here To Stay
You're My Everything
Rahab
A few years ago we were delighted to have had the opportunity to arrange and produce the music
for a brand new musical based upon the life of the harlot, Rahab, and the destruction of Jericho.
The selected copyrighted samples follow:
mp3 versions:
The Brothel Song
[2.3 megs] (festive opening to the show)
What's a Magistrate To Do?
[5 megs] (the devious magistrate confronts a petitioner)
Fortress Walls
[4.3 megs] (overconfident citizens laugh at the trumpets!)
The Destruction!
[2.5 megs] (well, it starts innocently enough!)

Pretty country ballad featuring Tammy again.
Send You The Bill (Real Audio)
Send You The Bill (mp3)
"Novelty" Country featuring Sammy Hundley
It's a Hard Knock Life!
[Real Audio] This is one of the top five hardest transcription sequences that I've ever done!
There is not a lead vocal on it as it was used in a talent show to showcase Jennifer, the singer.
All done by ear, no music available...give it a listen!
You Wanna Be My Friend!?
[Real Audio] Recently, Keith and Carrie came by and recorded an album of relationship songs. This (slighty country)
one details the problems with trying to just remain "friends" after the romance is over!
Do What You Must Do
[Real Audio] Penny Neff has recently specialized in songs that support the men and women of the Armed Services.
This track is a sister's tribute to her brother stationed overseas during "Desert Storm".
Fractured Fairy Tales
[Real Audio] This was a track done for Eclipse Productions here in Houston for an HBO television series within which
there was a segment that the actors "interpreted" classic children's fairy tales in a more
"contemporary" style! The bridge is a token nod to Schoenberg!
City of Houston Visitors Kiosk
Music commisioned by Animatrix to accompany video of different scenes and activities in the Houston
area. These are fairly short RealAudio files...
A Cumbia
Light Classical
Bob Wills
Light Jazz
Harp Blues
Music Box (mp3) 812k
Back last summer, Shirley brought over a song her boyfriend had composed with the idea of having a
traditional music box made that would play the song to give to him for a surprise Christmas present. After some research, we did a Midi File of the song,
uploaded it to the store in Arizona along with a "lead sheet" which, in turn, was converted
to a true mechanical music box...I thought it was interesting enough to include!
It's a Miracle
One of my favorite clients is Penny Lea...over the years we've collaborated on probably well over 100
projects! This is a RealAudio clip from a Contemporary Christian song...it features Charles Stewart on vocals.
